“Introducing people to the world of Herbs is greatly fulfilling for me. I am always searching for new opportunities to extend my knowledge and passion for plants that heal to those interested in integrating Herbal remedies into their personal health practices. Herbs aren’t a facet of any particular kind of lifestyle… they are to me, the very essence of life.”

Rosemary

“I offer my wisdom on the subject of Herbs and Herbal medicine
with great enthusiasm. If I can help someone manage or overcome
a personal health concern I always jump at the chance. From my repertoire comes a delightful array of medicinal Herbs, including familiar native and wild plants such as Echinacea, St. John’s Wort, Yarrow and many others, grown or collected by myself, Adam McLean– Proprietor and Herbalist for Adam of Eden.

I function independently from my live/ work studio home
in Toronto, Ontario, where my annual Herb garden flourishes.
I tend to larger crops and wild-growing medicinal plants periodically throughout the growing season at my family farm located outside
of Innisfil township, Ontario, each year leading up to a bountiful annual fall harvest.

My superior quality Herbs are sourced from four different origins-
the first being annual plants that I have grown from seed (Organic/ untreated/ non-GMO), the second from perennial seedlings which are planted & nurtured the year of harvest or have over-wintered and returned for a second or third growing season. The third source of my Herbs is from the wild. Each season I venture to a different rural meadow or woodland on foraging expeditions, on which I carefully collect Herbs from the wild with the aid of field guides for accurate plant identification. This is what’s known as ’Ethical Wildcrafting’.

For the Wildcrafter, it is the responsibility to harvest in a sustainable way and care must be taken to ensure native wild plants are protected from over-harvesting and enough live plants are left to go to seed for the next season of growth. The careful collection of the above ground parts of these wild Herbs will often promote the plant to multiply in size and become more plentiful in the same season–
a beneficial side-effect of human intervention."

Green Tea

"The fourth and last origin of my Herbs is complementary to my own ‘home-grown’ repertoire. Green & Black Tea leaves (the actual `Tea` of commerce, derived from the Camellia Sinenis plant) for example, as well as exotic spices and some tropical Herbs which do not grow in this region or climate may be sourced from reputable suppliers who practice ethical Wildcrafting and Organic farming methods. These few outsourced ingredients combine with my locally grown Herbs for the creation of specially blended loose-leaf Tea formulas.
For the Tea connoisseur, these are truely elegant brews
for for pleasure, health and wellness.”
